    Building Supervisor

I enjoy the sheer variety of work and the properties we get to work on. I have my favourites but they all have their own appeal! Having the opportunity to work with the other teams brings a great sense of community and of being part of something bigger that we are all contributing towards. If you enjoy working on historic buildings, uncovering the secrets of their past and ensuring they are conserved for the future, you will find a rewarding career with the National Trust.

I love my job role as Stonemason, it gives me the opportunity to help preserve some wonderful history and pass on traditional skills to apprentices. My work is always interesting and varied and brings fresh challenges which I relish. I’d highly recommend working for the National Trust they are a great employer and it gives you a chance to work on some very fulfilling projects in fabulous surroundings. I mostly enjoy working on so many beautiful and diverse properties from Elizabethan, Tudor, Medieval Manors, Gothic Revival and interacting with the public. I feel honoured to be working on grade 1&2 listed buildings, knowing that I have a real piece of history in my hands, and the repairs I do are a part of history for future generations to enjoy, whether it's restoring oak panelling or elm doors.

If you love conservation and restoration, want a role where no two days are the same and to work in a friendly atmosphere, the National Trust is the place for you.
