Future Parks

The Future Parks Accelerator (FPA) is a unique and exciting collaboration between the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and the National Trust (NT). Our partnership will generate new ways to protect and enhance access to parks and urban green spaces. It is the first truly joint initiative between our organisations and it will combine the best of our skills, resources and leadership to deliver our shared cause.

To ensure this pioneering initiative gets underway we need to find the people that share the vision and passion, but most importantly, have the appropriate skills and experience to support local authorities and their partners deliver transformational change across their parks and greenspace estate.

Having successfully recruited for two roles; FPA Delivery Director and FPA Investment Manager, we are pleased to launch our second phase of recruitment. We are now looking for additional people to join the core team in the position of Advisory Services Manager and two Account Manager roles. Closing date for applications is 9 December 2018, from staff of HLF and NT only.

The Advisory Services Manager role will be responsible for the overall management of the extensive support package we are providing the cohort of 5 to 8 places, including the team of subject specialists and wider network of NT consultants and operational experts who will form the place-based support team, ensuring quality and value for money. As a senior member of the FPA, you will lead a team of skilled and professional experts to provide support and practical advice to the 5-8 places on a wide range of issues, from community participation to new business models and much more besides, supporting transformation across each place’s parks and green space estate.

The Account Manager role will be responsible for directly supporting up to three of the 5-8 places that make up the FPA cohort to help support innovation and deliver transformation. You will act as act as the critical friend, coach, mentor, problem solver and creative thinker. You will play a key role in the FPA, working closely with local authorities, local communities and other partners to help design, plan and implement their transformation plan across the parks and green space estate.
