General Management

Battle-scarred castles, rugged coastlines, romantic cottages and acres and acres of unspoilt countryside. All beautiful. All special. But without revenue, they won’t stay special for long. They need inspirational leadership.

Joining us as a manager, you’ll be the influential leader behind some of the most beautiful places and spaces in UK. Motivating teams, defining business plans, driving commercial success and making sure objectives are achieved, your role will be a pivotal one. How do we maximise the profitability of one-of-their-kind historic properties, landscapes, coastlines, cottages and so much more? How can we reach out to new audiences while still staying loyal to our supporters? Every penny of our profit goes back into our work. So, to continue bringing people and places together, we need talented people with sharp commercial minds who can lead and inspire.

Variety? Responsibility? And then some. Whether you join us in a general management, project management, head of department or other managerial role, you’ll be a vital link between people, places and wider strategy. And make no mistake, this isn’t a case of caretaking or making sure things tick by. With central support, you’ll be challenged as you work to run, develop and grow a successful business. Your own unique business, in an incredible setting, for one of the nation’s best loved organisations. You’ll keep costs down and profits up, and put people at the heart of everything you do.
